Being Pastor of Blessed Trinity has exceeded all my wildest dreams and expectations I had
for life since my teen years.
In the following web pages hopefully you will get a fairly decent understanding of why the mission of this Parish Community, as it is unfolding, excites me.
Here, Jesus is Lord. As a Community we are growing in our understanding of and our commitment to the ongoing saving work of Christ not just among our members but, indeed, reaching out into many areas of the world.
We realize that by accepting Jesus we are committing ourselves to be available to His
liberating mission to humankind. We know that liberation includes not only freedom from
the slavery of sin but also liberation from hunger, homelessness, war, injustice and man’s
inhumanity to man.
While we are called to provide the best possible spiritual environment (Christ centered) in our homes and our schools and Churches we see it as very much a part of our God-given responsibility to also use our Time, Talent and finances to uplift humanity wherever and whenever it is within our ability. We strive to put God first. He has the first claim on our time and resources. It is not an option for us. It is our mission we carry out with God in accordance with the blessings and opportunities He has given us. We can never “retire” from this vocation of ours.
People of all ages from little pre-schoolers to Onie Ponder who is 108 see this more and more, and accept this as the Way of Life that must be lived if we truly are to live as sons and daughters of the Father.
I am excited. I hope you are or will be too.
