Family Life Ministries
Family Life Ministries at Blessed Trinity cover many areas of parish life that address the well being of families and individuals at all stages of their lives. Family Life Ministries encompass the following ministries:
Bereavement Ministry strives to provide companionship and support to those in our parish community who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Members of this ministry plan the funeral liturgy with the family, provide a luncheon after the funeral if the family wishes and provide ongoing support through an eight week grief recovery series. MOMS (Ministry of Mothers Sharing) creates in mothers, through a series of eight meetings, an awareness of the inner self while at the same time leading them to discover new ways to inspire, encourage and affirm each other. Contact Yvonne Roach at 625-1213.
The Ministry for Separated and Divorced through a twelve week series reaches out in a healthy and caring Christian environment to those individuals who are looking to heal from the pain of divorce. Contact Glenn McKeon at DivorceRecovery@hotmail.com.
The Blessed Trinity Seniors capitalize on the wisdom of senior adults by encouraging them to share their knowledge, their spirituality and spirit of service and provides opportunites for fun-filled social activities. Contact Barbara Saalfeld at 629-8092, ext. 220, or at bsaalfeld@blessedtrinity.org
Pre-Cana prepares couples for marriage in the Catholic Church through a one day intensive workshop that provides information and food for thought on practical and spiritual matters regarding marriage. Contact: Bill and Dee Hartley, 861-4433.
Respite offers temporary support and relief to caregivers for a couple of hours at a time. The goal is to assist families facing the stress of caring for an incapacitated or recovering loved one through the use of trained Respite Care companions. Contact Arline Wixon at 694-4591.
The Blessing of Homes Ministry offers families in the parish the opportunity to have their homes blessed at their convenience. This old Catholic custom recognizes that Christ is the head of every household. Contact: Arline Wixon at 694-4591.
